Virtual lessons are an excellent way for students to continue their music education and stay motivated without leaving their homes.
HOW DO VIRTUAL LESSONS WORK?
Virtual lessons are scheduled weekly at a recurring time. You will meet with your teacher one-on-one through Zoom, Facetime, Skype, Whatsapp, and your teacher will work with you on your music and technique, just like they would in an in-person lesson.
One hour before each lesson, you will receive an email/or text with your meeting link in Zoom. Click the link in the email to launch Zoom. If your teacher has not logged into your meeting yet, you may need to wait a few minutes.
CAN CHILDREN TAKE VIRTUAL LESSONS?
Absolutely! We do ask that an adult be present in the room during children’s lessons. Additionally, young children may need hands-on support from an adult during their lesson.
WHAT DEVICE OR EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED?
To participate in virtual lessons, you will need a laptop, tablet, or phone with microphone and camera capabilities. You will also need a secure enough internet connection to support streaming video.
You will also need to download the Zoom app on your device. (The Zoom app is compatible with most devices, including apple, android, windows, and Chromebook.)
